Apple TV and Legendary released a teaser trailer for the second season of Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the lore, the show is part of the Monsterverse (King Kong, Godzilla, etc.), and it takes place before the Godzilla: King of the Monsters movie.
The first season was a real pleasure to watch. It goes back and forth to the past and the present day, showing us how the first monsters appeared and how we managed to locate them. It has great moments, the acting is very good, the characters are interesting, and the visual effects are at a blockbuster movie level.
Now, the second season comes with a new threat to the world. Titan X, as it is written in the description, is a new monster, bigger and deadlier than Kong and Godzilla. The trailer, even though it is a teaser, looks fantastic and shows quite a lot. Some of the things that might catch your attention are Skull Island, the monsters, and the talks about rifts to another world. The second season will be divided into ten episodes, starting on 27th February, and the format will be one episode approximately every week.
I’m very excited to see what this season has to offer. And of course it’s something to get us ready for the next movie of the franchise, “Godzilla x Kong: Supernova”, that comes out next year.
