I didn’t know that Spartans in Ancient Greece were of African descent. Nolan’s The Odyssey casts Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.

In a movie that is in post-production, as it is expected this year on July 17, a new name has been added to the cast. Lupita Nyong’o, known for her roles in A Quiet Place: Day One, Us, 12 Years a Slave, and Black Panther movies, will represent Helen of Troy in The Odyssey. So, another “check” for the woke agenda of the movie. Really, guys, it’s not even a surprise anymore…

However, let’s take a step back and tell you my opinion of Lupita Nyong’o. I’ve seen her for the first time in “Us”, a movie that I liked a lot, where she truly did a wonderful job. I could tell right off the bat that she is a great actress. Additionally, she delivers her characters astonishing to the other movies as well, showing that her repertoire is vast. All in all, her acting skills are top-notch and cannot be questioned. She got an Oscar after all.

As long as her outside appearance is considered, I believe that her beauty is unique. She has lovely – close to perfect – characteristics, a beautiful smile and look, and a great slim athletic physique. And to conclude about my opinion on Lupita, I think she can support any given role in Hollywood.

Then, what is the problem with picking up Helen of Troy? For me, it’s ridiculous to do a race swap in historic faces, even if they are fictional. And of course, that goes to any other race swap out there. Asians should be played by asians, Africans by Africans, and Caucasians by Caucasians. I couldn’t stand, for example, a white Bruce Lee, an African Zeus, or an Asian Black Panther. It would be just wrong, as it is the cast of Helen of Troy in The Odyssey by Cristopher Nolan.
