Since Disney bought Marvel, there has been a lot of talk about what will happen to the Marvel series on Netflix. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Punisher, and the Defenders were eventually transferred to Disney+, but we didn’t know whether the series would continue with new seasons and new adventures.
Especially, Daredevil was a massive hit for Netflix and Marvel. Fans wanted more, the pressure was rising, and finally, the Man Without Fear returned with a new series, Daredevil: Born Again. And of course, don’t forget the quick cameo of the blind lawyer from Spider-Man: No Way Home.
As for me, Daredevil is a favourite hero from the Marvel comics, and the Netflix series I thought was great. Dark, brutal, mysterious, fantastic realistic fights, new entries, and an interesting expanded universe. So when Born Again was announced, I was more than happy to see the masked vigilante roaming the Hell’s Kitchen.
The first season started powerfully with a shock; a new enemy was introduced, and the return of Kingpin as the New York City mayor was unexpected. In general, I liked it, but I wanted to see more of Daredevil. However, it left many questions unanswered and a big cliffhanger for season 2.
And there we have it. Daredevil: Born Again season 2 comes in March 24 on Disney+, and we have the first trailer. I have to say that for a teaser, it shows quite a lot. To start with, I’m very excited for the return of Jessica Jones. I remember the first season on Netflix, and it was marvelous. And to be honest, Krysten Ritter was born to play that role. It suits her perfectly.
What else do we see in the trailer? The answer is more of everything. More Daredevil, more Kingpin, the return of Karen in a more active role, Bullseye, and impressive action. Truly, I can’t wait for season 2 to premiere, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the story will continue. Just to be clear, to wait for the show to end in season 2, as season 3 has already been announced.
